Can I cancel a tour or rental?

Is transportation included in the tours?
Transport is included in some tours — for example, the Iguaque hikes and several of the Tribu Jaguar and 90 Grados experiences run a with-transfer and a without-transfer version. Where it is not included, you make your own way to the meeting point. Each experience page states clearly which applies.
Is Villa de Leyva worth it?
In a word, YES. Villa de Leyva pairs one of the largest and best-preserved colonial squares in Colombia with a high-altitude desert landscape you will not find anywhere else in the country. Add the Iguaque Sanctuary, fossil beds, vineyards and caves within a short drive, and you have a destination that works for history, nature and adventure in equal measure.
Is insurance included in the tours and rentals?
Yes, insurance covering accidents related to the activity is included in the total price except the transportation. We ask for the full names and ID numbers of each guest at least 24 hours in advance to make sure you're covered.
Is it safe to travel to Villa de Leyva?
Yes. Villa de Leyva is a small heritage town with a calm atmosphere, regular police presence and a steady flow of both Colombian and international visitors. As anywhere, keep an eye on your belongings, but the town is widely considered one of the safest places to visit in Colombia.
What should I pack for a day in Villa de Leyva?
Comfortable shoes matter more here than most places — the historic centre is paved with large, uneven cobblestones, and the trails around Iguaque and La Periquera are rougher still. Bring sunscreen, a hat and a reusable water bottle: at 2,140 metres the sun is strong even when the air feels cool. Pack a warm layer too, because nights get genuinely cold. And bring a camera; the town is relentlessly photogenic.
How far is Villa de Leyva from Bogotá?
Roughly 128 to 140 km, which is about 2.5 to 3 hours by car on a fully paved road. Direct buses from the Salitre or Norte terminals take around 3 to 3.5 hours. On long weekends and during high season the road gets busy, so leaving Bogotá early in the morning helps. We also offer private door-to-door transport from Bogotá and El Dorado airport if you would rather not drive.
Do I need to book in advance?
Rain is part of life in the mountains! Most of our tours can still run in light rain, and we adjust plans to keep things comfortable. If weather conditions are unsafe, we’ll offer to reschedule or provide a partial refund. We always stay in touch the day before your tour to confirm everything.
Can you hold a reservation while I decide?
Yes! We can hold a spot for 12 to 24 hours while you confirm or send payment. Just let us know what you need and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Do you offer group discounts?
We do! For bookings over $400 USD, we offer a 5% discount. For bookings over $800 USD, you get 8% off. Just ask us when you’re ready to book.
